HIS GRACE BISHOP IRINEJ OF BACKA MET WITH MIRJANA PRLJEVIC, INTERNATIONAL SECRETARY GENERAL OF CIVIS ASSOCIATION

On Saturday, 11th December, his Grace Bishop Irinej of Backa met in his residence in Novi Sad with Ms. Mirjana Prljevic, International Secretary General of CIVIS Association.

The main topic of their meeting was the organisation of the international conference “EVERLASTING VALUE AND PERMANENT ACTUALITY OF THE EDICT OF MILAN - on the Way to the Great Jubilee in 2013”.

This conference, which will be held on 24th to 26th February 2011 in Nis, the birthplace of Emperor Constantine, aims to gather prominent historians and theorists expert in the epoch, personality and role of the Emperor Constantine. It also aims to explain to the broader public the importance of the Edict of Milan, both in the past and present times”.

This conference will provide an important introduction to the 2013 celebration of 17 centuries since the Edict of Milan.
